Summary: Using money from our fundraiser in Fall 2020, SEA/KDP provided over 60 pieces of fleece to GSU students, staff, faculty, and community members. This event showed how to make the tie-blankets using the fleece – led by our former SEA President and GSU Early Childhood graduate, Samantha Allen. These blankets that were made will be donated to animal shelter associated with South Suburban Humane Society outside of Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, we are mailing blankets to the Lucky Penny Rescue Network in Laredo, Texas (who rescues animals and transports them to animal adoption centers across the country). Blankets are given to animals at the shelters, as well as when they are transported to adoption centers. The animals keep these “forever blankets.”
