Joliet Slammers

Written by Jessica Dunahoo

The Student Education Association (SEA) and Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society (KDP) at Governor’s State University (GSU) will be hosting a social and fundraiser to benefit the SEA and KDP. Some of the proceeds of the ticket purchases will be given to our two groups.

This baseball game and event will take place at:

Joliet Slammers Field (Joliet Route 66 Stadium)
1 Mayor Art Schultz Dr. Joliet, IL 60432

Wednesday, May 30th @ 7pm.

The Slammers ( are a professional baseball team based at Silver Cross Field in Joliet, Illinois. Their mascot, the Jailbird dances with the crowd between innings and brings a lot of cheer to the game. This year the Joliet Slammers will be battling the Washington Wild Things in one of their first games of the season.

There was a great turn-out at this event last year; SEA leaders, faculty, and staff from GSU brought their family and friends.

Everyone is welcome to attend!  Tickets are $10 per person.

Contact any leader of faculty advisor of the SEA to purchase tickets (tickets must be purchased through a student leader in cash). For more information, contact Hannah Gruben,
