Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual program connecting people across the country in an concentrated effort to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness. The GSU Civic Engagement and Community Service Center (CECSC) coordinated the Hunger & Homelessness Competition to raise awareness amongst student clubs and organizations. The competition challenged clubs and organizations to create visual displays that examined the problems and causes of Hunger and Homelessness in America. Student Life received various exhibits that displayed profound depictions of hunger and homelessness as experienced by students and the community. Each project offered background information and solutions to this national problem. As a result of most votes received, three student organizations emerged as the Top 3 Entries:

2nd place – Gender and Sexuality Club ($50)
3rd place – Kappa Delta Pi ($25)
